About Debbie

Debbie is registered with the New Zealand Psychologist Board and is a member of the NZ Psychological Society and Institute of Clinical Psychology.

Debbie is trained and experienced in a wide range of psychological interventions and uses a variety of approaches for treatment depending on individual needs, including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Trauma Informed Care. She uses evidence based and outcomes informed practices to guide her treatment.

Debbie grew up and trained as psychologist in South Africa. She has lived in Rotorua since immigrating to New Zealand in 2000. Debbie has worked at iCAMHS and in the Primary Mental Health area before starting her private practice.

Debbie is contracted with ACC to deliver services for sensitive claims and psychological services.

Services

Debbie provides psychological treatment for anxiety, depression, difficulties managing emotions, relationship difficulties, grief, pain management and trauma.

If you are a GP, or health care provider referring on behalf of someone else: Please email a referral letter through.
Enquiries are welcome.
Please note that if the person being referred is under the age of 16 years, parental/legal guardianship consent is required, and their contact details need to be included in the referral.
In an emergency or crisis please call 111, or the Acute Response Team (ART) through the Rotorua Hospital, on 0800 166167.
